I’m very new to the world of HDR photography.  I’ve known of the effects for some time and never really known how it was achieved so I finally decided to give it a go and now understand a little more, and I love the results.

Unfortunately I’m not very good at it yet.  I’ve had some nice results, but don’t actually fully understand what makes a good HDR photo.  I can go out with my camera and take photos of something I think is surely going to look great, only to find out that it really doesn’t work in post-processing.  Other times I take a photo on a whim and it looks great.

Eventually I hope to recognise the good and the bad to get much more consistent results.  I guess as I get more skilled in the tools I use this will help also.

This blog will feature my attempts at producing HDR photos and hopefully, over time, I will be able to produce something great and not just average.
